Len Sherman has been a producer, writer and correspondent in many parts
of the world, including, among others, Iraq, Haiti, El Salvador and the
former Soviet Union. His documentary, Abandon All Hope: Welcome to
Afghanistan, shot one year before 9/11 in the mountains of northern
Afghanistan, detailing the designs of Al Qaeda and the Taliban to
attack the U.S., ran dozens of times on MSNBC in the months following
9/11. In the spring of 2003, he produced another documentary for MSNBC
from inside Iraq, which discussed the changing nature of the
implementation of American foreign policy. He has appeared as an expert
witness on foreign affairs and terrorism on a wide range of shows,
including "Oprah," "Good Morning America," "The O'Reilly Factor," etc.
In the counterterrorism field, he served as the Senior Director of The
Investigative Project, the leading private counterterrorism
investigative group in the country.
Sherman has written a variety of books and articles on a wide range of
subjects, from national security to politics to law enforcement, show
business to sports. He has also represented selected individuals from
the counterterrorism field, including Richard A. Clarke, Rita Katz and
Michael Sheehan, before publishers and producers. Sherman was the
associate publisher of The National Times, a monthly magazine that
reprinted articles from around the world on politics and economics –
before the Internet rendered such a publication irrelevant.
Sherman is the president of Good Harbor Media. He is also the executive
producer of the upcoming Sony Pictures film, Against All Enemies, and
the producer of The Scorpion’s Gate, also with Sony Pictures.
Sherman received a J.D. from The Columbia Law School in 1980.
